As a regular viewer of the TV show 'Mythbusters', I can't help but notice the large amounts of project-based learning that the cast of the show are involved. Every episode is basically a collection of projects based upon common social myths.
I figure, if the guys on TV can make project-based learning look so fun, so can we. I think it would be really sweet to get teams of students working on busting myths. I could even have them produce their mythbusting into a funny little tv show by filming it and editing on school equipment.
I think it would be a fun, and since many students also watch the show, they might really get into it. If anyone has any good suggestions for myths, throw 'em up on the discussion board. Or if anybody else has done this, let me know how it went.
